I’m really proud to have been asked to contribute two chapters to this very important book on equine welfare. I’ve written one chapter on a history of horse-human interactions, and another on why “alternative” medicine is generally not in the best interests of the horse, or for horse owners, for that matter. The book is thought-provoking and features contributions from many prominent experts in various fields. If you’ve got any interest in the subject, it’s well worth your time.
